Breakthrough

The breakthrough is a key mechanic for enhancing your Digimon's abilities and unlocking two of the most important stat boosters for every Digimon.

You can access the breakthrough of every Digimon in the red square option.

The breakthrough level is reflected in the stars of the Digimon. The more stars your Digimon has, the higher the breakthrough; every level or every star unlocks different improvements for the abilities of that Digimon and, at the same time, improves a specific set of stats.

The first square marks the improvement of every ability (they can be seen on this website for every Digimon); meanwhile, the second square shows the stat improvement.

In order to achieve a breakthrough for your Digimon, you will need to obtain a copy of the same Digimon. This rule also applies to X Digimon and Jogress Digimon. Nowadays, there are breakthrough stones available for purchase or to be won through progress challenges. However, it is advised not to use these stones on cheap Digimon. It is better to spend them on limited-pay Digimon, such as Lilithmon, as it can save you up to 10,000 gems.

After a Digimon reaches its first star or level of breakthrough, two important features are unlocked: Microchips and Awakening. These are essential for boosting stats.
