Build Recommendation
Digimon New Century is a game where your DPS unit could act as a Control unit, and your Support unit could act as your DPS unit. They are so expandable. This recommendation only offers the basic look to how you could set this unit up, but don't be so rigid, try out your own unique build, it surely would fit your team better.

If you're using him below 2 stars, it's best to focus a bit on his SPD, because you're not guaranteed to get the first action.
If you're using him 4-6 stars, you can go with full damage output, but still, give him some SPD to make sure you still get the first action when you're going against other UlforceVeedramon X, UlforceVeedramon or Jesmon GX.
If you're not planning to make him at least 4 stars, then you better just use UlforceVeedramon APT18 at 5 stars. Guaranteed to strike first, guaranteed to gain extra action after launching Main Skill. The only drawback is, APT18 UlforceVeedramon is not immune to Paralyzed.
Using battle entry buff talent, such as gaining Shield on battle entry (from the Defensive talent tree) would not grant him additional V-Armed layers. V-Armed layers are only counting normal dispellable buff.
If you're using him for combo team, when it's his turn to attack, if there is an enemy inflicted with Wind Blade marks, choose that enemy as your target. It will increase the possibility of triggering combo attacks.
In PVP (rank S9 above), if you're only using him to trigger combo attack and not as your main DPS, if your UlforceVeedramon X is banned, you can use UlforceVeedramon APT18 5 stars instead. Both will provide the same purpose.
UlforceVeedramon X can function properly even without his exclusive microchip core, but, having it would help him regain his V-Armed stacks, especially if his stacks were removed due to getting abnormal status and not getting enough buff from other teammates.
